Jaguar Land Rover of Greenville to Sponsor Young Benefactor’s Bocce Social

The Governor's School for the Arts Foundation Young Benefactors Jaguar Land Rover of Greenville

Did you know that summer is bocce season?  If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, take part in the riveting bocce fun, as Jaguar Land Rover of Greenville is proud to be a sponsor for the Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation’s Young Benefactor’s Bocce Social that’s being held this Sunday, July 17, 2016.

The Young Benefactor’s Bocce Social, is a great way to support the students of the Governor’s School for the Arts. Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards various aspects including providing meal plan scholarships for hard-working students; helping artists come to Greenville to share their illustrious talent, as well as experience; and to support the unique needs of the school’s students, including assistance with college application fees.

The Young Benefactor’s Bocce Social, will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on the Lawn Adjacent to Swamp Rabbit Crossfit (25 Peden Street in downtown Greenville). It will be an evening of lively enjoyment with bocce, corn hole, friends, food trucks, complimentary beer and wine, Henry’s barbecue, and live music courtesy of Blackwater Deep.

The Governor's School for the Arts Foundation serves South Carolina's artistically talented students by increasing awareness, as well as raising revenues to ensure excellence in our nation's premier public residential high school for the arts.

Bocce is played with eight large balls and one smaller target or object ball called a pallina. There are four balls per team and they are made of a different color or pattern to distinguish the balls of one team from those of the other team. The game is played with two teams, with each team having one, two, or four players. For more information about how Bocce Ball is played, click here.

Tickets for the Young Benefactor’s Bocce Social are available now and can be purchased for $30 for adults, $10 for children ages 10 and up, and free for children under 10 years old. To purchase tickets, you can either call the Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation office at 864-282-1570 or visit their website.
